New and Updated iBall Slide i7218

Computer peripherals maker iBall has announced the launch of an upgraded version of company’s Slide tablet. The new iBall Slide i7218 will be cheaper than its predecessor and will retail for Rs. 11,999, while the MRP is Rs 12,449.

The iBall Slide i7218 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and is powered by a ARM Cortex A8-based 1 GHz processor. One of the important new features of this tablet is its two cameras- a rear-facing 2 megapixel primary camera and a front-facing VGA camera for video calls and chats. Also, it packs dual stereo speakers that deliver powerful sound while viewing movies and videos along with great audio for music playback.

One of the most unique features of the iBall Slide i7218 is that it is probably the only tablet available in India that provides a direct USB port for connecting all your USB devices including flash drive, data card, USB mouse/keyboard, dongles, etc. Other rival devices usually don’t provide a port or make do with a cable that makes usage inconvenient.

iBall had originally launched Gingerbread powered Slide last year in September.
